Sifu Tom Moore has over 30 years' experience in the martial arts spanning traditional styles to modern tactical systems. He is a Jun Fan JKD instructor under Sifu Eric Winfree and has also trained in various weapons systems from Kali to Kobudo. In addition, he has pursued his own martial heritage by seeking out one of the few remaining teachers of authentic Irish Martial Arts. Sifu Tom has been permitted to teach the O'Dubghail Family Irish Stick Fighting method by Sifu Glen Doyle, the head of the O'Dubghail Family. The shillelagh (shi-lay-lee) is one of the most misunderstood icons of Irish culture. This weapon was used in the faction fights of the 18th & 19th centuries and led to the fighting spirit and ability of the native Irish. The Doyle family style, nicknamed Dance of the Whiskey Stick, is a very effective and aggressive method of Irish Stick Fighting.
